Scope
These terms cover the automatic renewal of a paid package subscription purchased from Creafair Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi through the institution panel on UZEM, and the storage of a payment card for that purpose. They do not apply to sales made by institutions to their own learners.
Automatic renewal is optional; if you do not choose it, you pay for your subscription manually at the end of each period. The option is shown at checkout or in the institution panel only while UZEM offers it and only for a payment method that supports it; if it is not shown, your card is not stored, no automatic charge is made and renewal is manual. These terms do not replace the Distance Service Agreement or the Cancellation, Refund and Withdrawal Policy; they supplement them.
Two separate consents
For automatic renewal there are two separate checkboxes at checkout (or later in the institution panel), neither of them pre-ticked:
- Card storage consent: storing your card with the payment institution for later period charges.
- Automatic charge consent: renewing your subscription at the end of each period by charging your stored card.
If you tick neither, your card is used only for that payment, it is not stored and no automatic charge is made. If you tick only one, automatic renewal is not turned on. These consents are not required to place the order.
Card storage
- Your card details are entered in the secure payment form of the licensed payment institution you use for the payment and are processed and stored by that institution. Card storage is offered only with a payment method that supports it; with a method that does not, no card storage option is shown at checkout.
- Your card number and security code are not stored on UZEM servers. Creafair Teknoloji Anonim Şirketi keeps only the card key issued by the payment institution in place of the card number (encrypted) and a masked summary to help you recognise the card (last four digits, card brand/type, expiry month and year); the card key is used only for the renewal charges you consented to.
- The payment institution's own card storage terms and information notice also apply.
Automatic charges
- For a monthly subscription one month's package amount is charged to your stored card every month, for a yearly subscription one year's package amount every year, on the period end date. A reminder is sent by e-mail before a yearly renewal.
- The amount is calculated with the package price, exchange rate and the tax rule of your billing country on the renewal date; the amount shown at checkout is only that day's amount.
- UZEM initiates the renewal charge; the amount is charged to your stored card by the payment institution. The result is confirmed by the payment institution's notification and, where needed, by a status query to the payment institution (reconciliation); the package is not treated as paid until the result is confirmed.
- If a charge fails, the card is retried a limited number of times on set days after the period ends; then a grace period starts and you can pay manually. While a charge result is uncertain, your card is not charged a second time.
- An invoice is issued for each successful renewal charge and sent to the e-mail address in the billing details.
Individual buyers
If you purchased with individual billing details, your subscription is renewed not on the basis of an automatic extension clause in the contract but only on the basis of the separate automatic renewal consent you gave. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the institution panel. Your withdrawal, termination and refund rights under consumer legislation are reserved and are explained in the Cancellation, Refund and Withdrawal Policy.
Turning it off and withdrawing consent
- You can turn automatic renewal off at any time on the My Package page of the institution panel. After that, no automatic charge is made to your card.
- Turning automatic renewal off does not cancel your subscription: your package continues until the end of the period and you pay the renewal manually. To leave the package, you must separately schedule a switch to the Free package at the end of the period.
- When you turn it off, the card key may remain with the payment institution, but it is not used without your new consent.
- Your stored card is shown masked on the My Package page, where the "Remove card" option lets you ask for the card to be deleted from the payment institution; this also turns automatic renewal off and does not cancel your subscription. If the card cannot be deleted from the payment institution, the card key is not used without your new consent; you can also send your deletion request to [email protected].
- To turn it on again, you need to accept these terms again.
Records
Your consents are recorded separately for card storage and for automatic charges, together with the time of consent, the consenting user, IP address, browser information and the version, language and content of the accepted text.
